Care Worker Positions

Normal duties will include:

Personal care (including washing, dressing and continence care)

Support with medication

Support with basic household tasks

Preparing and service meals or snacks

Providing companionship to vulnerable individuals

Fife Care Group prides itself on offering a week long fully comprehensive training programme for each of our staff, as well as ongoing support throughout their employment.
The induction week covers the following topics:

Welcome to the Fife Care Group and company background

Local office and roles of management personnel

Care referral process – private and local authority Service Users
-
Uniform, ID badge, annual leave, rotas and shift patterns

PPE and infection prevention and control
-
Sickness absence process and responsibilities of a return to work interview

Personal and intimate care

SSSC registration/Codes of Practice, conduct outside of work and use of social media platforms

Health and Social Care Standards
-
Care folder – each section explained

Recording and reporting
-
Meal preparation
-
Medication, including concerns and errors
-
Capacity and dementia

Recording and reporting Access and security

Accidents and incidents
-
Adult Support & Protection including case studies and an open discussion

Moving and handling

Open forum – Trainer to go over topics where candidates have questions or queries

We also have a 12 week onboarding programme that tailors the support required by the individual to ensure the excel within their roles. We are passionate about ensuring the best possible terms and conditions for our staff and offer both full time (30 hours) contracts and part time (16-20 hours) contracts.
